The Includid mission
Includid is a Cape Town non-profit offering group homes, 24-hour care, and meaningful work for adults with intellectual disabilities — so every resident can live with dignity, friendship, and choice.
Make a difference →Eight group homes on the Alexandra Hospital grounds in Maitland, with meals, medical support, and a house that feels like home.
Skilled staff provide personal care, medication support, and daily wellbeing checks tailored to each resident’s plan.
Occupational training, a working vegetable garden, and paid tasks that build confidence and a sense of contribution.
Outings, celebrations, neighbourly connections, and a garden that feeds both the homes and the wider Oude Molen community.
Open communication and a genuine welcome for families — and steadfast care for the many residents who have no family left to visit.

Includid grew from a partnership to move adults out of long-stay hospitals and into ordinary homes. Today our houses, garden, and workshops still exist for one reason: a full life, lived among friends.
